The leading idea of the university in Hanover is that the future must be cleared through knowledge. It was founded by scientist Carl Karmarsh, "Higher School of Commerce in Hannover" in 1831 and started with only 64 students. Today there are about 22,000 students in the natural sciences and engineering, social sciences and humanities as well as in law and economics.

The university's ambition is to transform learning, teaching and research in pleasure and therefore one of its declared goals is to continually improve the quality of teaching and research.

Other programs

The university offers training courses in German, English, Spanish and Mathematics in the winter semester.

Accommodation

There are 14 buildings with dormitories in Hanover. Every student can apply for accommodation there. The price varies between 145 and 215 euro per month. Student Council can help in the search for accommodation in the city.

Requirements

- Diploma - original and translated into German
- Certificate in German - DSH2, certificate C1 of the Goethe-Institut, TestDaF with Level 4 in all four parts of the exam, German Language examination II of the language institute in Munich.
- Certificate in English - TOEFL, IELTS, APIEL, CAE, CPE or minimum 9-month stay in a country with an official language - English.
- Certificate in Spanish - DELE Nivel B1 / B1 Escolar, completed education in a class with Spanish, completed preparatory course in the language at university or a minimum of 9-month stay in a country with an official language - Spanish.

Scholarships

You can apply for funding for programs BAFÖG, DAAD, ERASMUS. The funding is for a period of 1 month to 3 years depending on the program

Fees

Bachelor: EUR 500 semester fee for EU citizens.
Master: EUR 500 semester fee for EU citizens.
Preparatory German course: € 500
